ATAMELANG BUS TRANSPORT is currently expanding its transportation services towards a full range of bus passenger services. We are establishing a countrywide service footprint of subsidized as well as private non-subsidised passengers and clients that include corporates, sport and social club, churches and religious organisations, stokvels and private individuals, to mention but a few. We operate a fleet of 141 buses, providing over 5.1 million passenger journeys and covering in excess of 7.5 million vehicle kilometers each year in regular government-subsidised contract transportation services in the Northwest and Gauteng Province in the Republic of South Africa, and employ a staff in excess of 300 employees. ATAMELANG is a 99.85% black Empowerment Company established in 2002 to take advantage of the government initiated contract system and the privatization of Parastatal transport companies in terms of the National Land transport Transition Act22 of We are currently a leading provider of public passenger transport services, transporting learners, government employees, industrial and commercial workers in regular contracted services in Mahikeng, Lichtenburg, (including Delareyville), Zeerust in the Northwest and Pretoria in Gauteng provinces. We are currently expanding our service portfolio to include transportation in the private individual and corporate sectors. Similarly we are expanding our footprint to cover other provinces across South Africa.
